Great time with Grandma and Grandpa Kelley

Sophie and Sawyer introduce Grandma and Grandpa to Mickey Mouse.

We were lucky to have some company visit us the past few days!  Grandma and Grandpa Kelley made the 11 hour drive south from their house in Tennessee to see the kids and to make a trip to the Magic Kingdom.

The main thing to do in Fort Pierce is go to the beach.  The weather has cooled off too much to really do any swimming.  But it’s still fun walking along the water.  Sophie had to do some seashell hunting with Grandma!

One of the highlights of the trip was Sophie getting her ears pierced.  She has talked about doing it for a while, but was never able to build up the courage.  I don’t know if it was the presence of Grandma or the promise of ice cream, but she finally got them pierced.

We had a great day at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.  Sophie and Sawyer were excited to introduce Grandma and Grandpa to Mickey Mouse.  The weather right now is perfect, so it was a really good time to visit.  It was a busy day, but we managed to do quite a bit.  Sawyer drove a car for the first time, both kids experienced their first haunted house at the Haunted Mansion, we went on the Flight of Peter Pan, saw two parades and much more.

We finished our weekend off with a small barbeque at a local park.  Everyone was sad to see Grandma and Grandpa leave, but it won’t be too long before we see them again around the Holidays.

Wonderful Photo’s with your mom and dad. I think I’m recognizing the playground. Did we go there when we were in Ft. Pierce?
