Low key couple of weeks before things get crazy

Told the kids we could eat lunch anywhere they want, and of course they picked Burger King. They couldn’t resist the lure of a playground at a restaurant.

In a few days we are going to be packing up and heading North.  We still don’t know where our next travel stop is, but hopefully we will have that settled within the next week or so.

The past two weeks have been quiet.  I think we have done pretty much all there is to do around Fort Pierce.  We have had a great three months, but I think we are all ready to move on to somewhere new.  The Fort Pierce area just doesn’t have as much to do as I hoped.  We are outdoors people, and besides going to the beach, there isn’t a whole lot to do outside.

That being said, we have had a great time.  Our primary focus on coming here was to do everything in Disney.  With our upcoming week in Orlando, we should accomplish our goal.

We had a good Thanksgiving last week.  Besides the meal, it really didn’t feel like Thanksgiving though.  I am use to being in Westerville, OH doing the usual Thanksgiving Feast with the extended family.  Here it was mostly just another day.  Beth and I still made a turkey dinner with stuffing, twice baked potatoes, and corn, so we managed a little mini-Thanksgiving dinner.

Right now we are going through the usual last week stuff.  Part of that is trying to eat all of the food we have bought over the three months.  That makes for some interesting meal combinations!  We also have the task of selling all of our furniture on Craigslist.  So far we have sold about half of it without too much hassle.  Whatever doesn’t sell will just be donated to Goodwill.

It’s a gamble because while you want things to sell, you don’t want them to sell too quick.  For example, I listed our microwave and it sold the first day.  So now we don’t have a microwave for a week.  You don’t realize how much you use a microwave until you lose it!  But some of the essentials, like our bed and couches, are going to be last minute ads.  I didn’t want to sleep on the floor and live without a couch for a week!
