I am writing this from snowy Kansas City. We just stopped for the night after about nine hours of driving on the way to my parents house in Tennessee.
We had a really busy last few days in Denver. We managed to sell almost all of our furniture on Craigslist, and even made more money than we spent. We seemed to acquire more things than we normally do, so there was some doubt over whether or not all of our stuff would fit into the two cars. Luckily, it wasn’t a problem at all. I guess after doing it four previous times, we have gotten pretty good at packing.
We still don’t know where we are headed next after the holidays. Our plan was California, but the slow moving California Nursing Board has caused us to look elsewhere. Beth still isn’t officially licensed in California. With the speed of the board, it’s anyone’s guess how long it could actually take.
It was looking like Galveston, Texas was likely, but that job was pulled right when we applied for it.
We have applied for a job in Houston, so that might work out. California could still surprise us and process Beth’s license in time to work there. Otherwise, we have a few other options we are looking at. For now, we are looking forward to some relaxing down time over Christmas. Happy Holidays!
